End the Addiction to Fossil Fuels
The recent Gulf disaster has demonstrated that The United States must end its addiction to fossil fuels. Without a comprehensive climate and clean energy plan, America will continue to rely on dangerous oil and gas sources with all their dangerous baggage - offshore drilling, chemical mining (a.k.a. “fracking”), and tar sands.
Despite clear signs that oil is a dead end, Washington is not leading America toward a clean energy solution. Washington won’t enact comprehensive climate legislation unless we raise our voices even louder to demand action.
